Ulster County Executive Michael P. Hein declared a State of Emergency in Ulster County effective 8 AM Monday morning. County office buildings were closed and will remain closed on Tuesday, October 30th. Bus service provided by the Ulster County Area Transit is also suspended. The County Executive imposed a County-wide travel restriction in Ulster County. Pursuant to this restriction, only essential personnel should be on the road. The Emergency Operation Center is fully operational and all essential County services are being coordinated from this location. Please check the County website regularly at www.co.ulster.ny.usfor updated storm related information, including a list of shelters and road closures. Call 2-1-1 for general information. NYSEG can be reached by calling 800-572-1131 and Central Hudson at 452-2700. For downed wires and other emergencies call 9-1-1.
